Julie Haymaker Thompson – Day Three

Pocket Full of Posies

In this class will use shrink plastic to create one-of-a-kind flower beads, leaves and a floral pocket. These will be formed using my unique molds created for this purpose and also hand-forming the plastic. Color will be added to our beads using paints and colored pencils. A hand cut and hammered brass base will be made for the floral pocket and all will be assembled using cold connections techniques. The chain is made by hammering and wrapping brass wire. More shrink plastic flower bead caps will be added to the chain links along with beads. All of this comes to together to create a truly unique and colorful floral pocket necklace!
