In this fun, step-by-step workshop, you’ll learn great new techniques for acrylic painting, techniques for creating whimsical and funny creatures (with luminous eyes!) and techniques for painting an abundance of textures. And you’ll leave with stunning paintings plus the knowledge to paint just about anything with acrylics. Even those familiar with acrylics will learn unique techniques for livening up artworks and creating more imaginative paintings!

  • Acrylic Paint set—suggested (but not mandatory) — Colors: Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Cadmium Yellow Light, Yellow Ochre, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Red, Titanium White, Mars Black
  • Acrylic matte medium
  • Cradled Hardboard Panels, one (or more) 5” x 7” and one (or more) 8” x 10” (or Canvas Panels of same sizes)
  • Acrylic matte medium
  • Art Spectrum Fine Tooth Colourfix Primer—suggested color: Terracotta (or your choice)
  • Variety of acrylic brushes from fine point to larger rounds and small to larger flats
  • Water container
  • Acrylic paper palette pad (or other type of palette)
  • Small, airtight plastic mixing cups, at least 18
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Animal or creature resources (pictures or on laptop)
