Shadow Boxes with Torch Fire Enameling (One Day Workshop)

Description

Using copper sheeting students will create unique torch fired enameled pieces of jewelry.  Students will learn many ways to create a shadowbox necklace from Copper. Patinas will enhance the surface and allow for unique results.  Once several shadow boxes are made, students will create inserts for the box using torch fire enameled surfaces. Fold form techniques will be used to create depth and interest with some of the inserts.  Cold connections including wire rivets, eyelets, brads, ties and weaving techniques, will be used to assemble the pieces. Broaches, necklaces, earring will all be made and students will go home with many samples and finished work.  Fun and fast paced.
