Description

Introduction to basic soldering and fusing silver. By the end of this class students will have an understanding of necessary tools and materials to successfully solder and fuse simple joints. Students will complete one spiral bracelet and one ball and loop bracelet.

  • Ultra Flush Side Cutters
  • Round nose pliers
  • Flat nose or chain nose pliers x2, or one of each
  • Ruler
  • Magnifying glasses and Ott light, as needed
  • Kit Fee: $80 per student (payable to instructor at class time)
    Provided by Instructor:
  • Fire tweezers
  • Soldering equipment: torch for each student, quenching bowls, fire bricks, pickle and pickle pot
  • Tumbler
  • Chasing hammer
  • Bench blocks
