Kirsten Denbow – Enamel Portraits: Memories Captured

Duration of Class: One Day (6 Hours) // Medium: Enamel on Copper // Skill Level: All

Description

Capturing memories of the past has always been an important theme in Kirsten’s work. From remembering her childhood to honoring people who have passed, she expresses that there is something deeply spiritual about making wearable work that captures special moments in time. In this workshop, she will share techniques in metal that will allow you to do the same!

Memories play such an important role in who we are. Do you have a memory of a place, person, pet, or time in your life you would like to honor and turn into a keepsake? Using liquid enamel, photography, and enamel decals and paints we will create a wearable work of art to honor your memories. Settings will be provided and there is no metalsmithing experience required. If you prefer to make our own setting, tools and materials will be provided for that, too!

This workshop can be combined with day two and/or three to create one memory necklace with a sterling silver chain and charm accents
